You may look capable on the outside, but internally, you feel overwhelmed, disconnected, exhausted, or stuck repeating the same painful patterns.

You feel like you’re constantly shaping yourself to meet others’ expectations, but doing so makes you feel like you’re losing touch with what truly makes you happy, with who you really are. You put so much energy into being there for others, yet feel drained at the end of the day. You take on a lot of responsibility for your family, your friends, and the people you care about most, but your own needs keep getting pushed to the side.

Maybe your relationships feel strained, conflict keeps escalating at home, or you feel emotionally alone even when surrounded by people you love.

You work so hard to make everything perfect, and when it goes well, you don’t feel proud; you just feel relieved that you escaped rejection for now. When it goes poorly, it is just proof of every negative thing you tell yourself.

You might be a teen struggling with anxiety, identity, pressure, perfectionism, ADHD, or feeling misunderstood. You might be a parent trying desperately to help your child while feeling exhausted, helpless, or afraid of getting it wrong. You might be a couple who keep having the same painful argument and no longer know how to reconnect.

Therapy can be a place where you no longer have to hide behind a mask of perfection or performance.

I can be a mapmaker for your emotional landscape, a guide to help you navigate emotions with more clarity and direction, and an anchor for the inner storm. For couples, I am a bridge builder from isolation to connection.

Often, we focus too much on changing the things we don’t like about ourselves and only get more discouraged. We might think that we just need to push ourselves harder to be better, but this often just leads to more stress, burnout, and avoidance. The irony is that when we truly begin to accept ourselves, we can’t help but transform.

You show strength and commitment every day to those around you; imagine what could happen if you started directing just some of that strength and commitment toward yourself.

My approach is relational, emotionally engaged, and insight-oriented. I help clients understand the deeper emotional patterns underneath anxiety, conflict, perfectionism, emotional shutdown, people-pleasing, and disconnection. Together, we work toward creating more self-awareness, emotional security, healthier relationships, and a stronger sense of self.

I integrate EMDR therapy into my work with teens and adults struggling with trauma, anxiety, distressing memories, attachment wounds, and negative beliefs about themselves. EMDR can help clients process experiences that continue to feel emotionally charged or stuck in the nervous system so they can move through life with greater ease, clarity, and freedom.

For couples, I help partners move out of cycles of defensiveness, resentment, and emotional isolation toward greater understanding, vulnerability, and connection.

For teens and families, I help create more emotional safety, communication, and trust within the family system.

I also specialize in working with men and masculinity. Many men grow up learning to suppress vulnerability, emotional needs, or tenderness in order to survive. We can explore a more authentic and emotionally connected version of masculinity that is rooted in courage, self-awareness, and meaningful relationships.

I am an out-of-network provider and do not bill insurance directly. Many clients choose to use their out-of-network benefits for reimbursement, while others pay privately.

If you plan to use out-of-network benefits, I recommend contacting your insurance provider before our first session to ask about reimbursement for outpatient psychotherapy, either in person or online. I can provide the documentation needed for reimbursement claims.

You have the right to receive a "Good Faith Estimate" explaining how much your medical care will cost. Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services. You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees.
Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.
For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.

Bio

I am a Chilean-American transracial and transcultural adoptee, and my lived experience has shaped the way I understand identity, belonging, family, and relationships. Growing up in a small rural town in Northern California in an unconventional family system gave me an early awareness of how complex our stories can be and how deeply our relationships impact the way we see ourselves. I am grateful for the awareness and curiosity my journey has given me about the diverse and complex expressions of individual, family, and cultural identity.

My own journey led me to become deeply curious about resilience, connection, and what helps people heal and grow through painful or confusing experiences.

I am a music maker, punk rocker, slow runner, nerdy reader, DIY builder, outdoor explorer, and nature lover.

Education and Career

I earned my degree in Child and Adolescent Development from San Francisco State University and began my career working with adolescents in experiential and outdoor-based programs focused on emotional growth and resilience. I later earned my Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology with a focus in Couple and Family Therapy from Prescott College.

Since moving to Seattle in 2015, I have specialized in working with teens, families, and couples in community mental health settings and have also provided clinical supervision and training to emerging therapists as a Washington State Approved Supervisor.

FAQ

How can therapy help with perfectionism and burnout?

Perfectionism often develops as a way to stay safe, gain approval, or avoid failure, but over time it can lead to chronic stress, self-criticism, anxiety, and emotional exhaustion. Therapy can help you better understand the underlying patterns driving burnout while developing healthier ways of relating to yourself, your work, and your relationships.

Do you work with avoidant attachment or emotionally disconnected clients?

Yes. Many people want close relationships but struggle with vulnerability, emotional intimacy, conflict, or feeling emotionally shut down. Therapy can help you understand attachment patterns, strengthen emotional awareness, and develop more secure and connected relationships without losing your sense of independence or self.

What is emotionally focused couples therapy (EFT)?

Emotionally Focused Therapy is an evidence-based approach to couples therapy that focuses on strengthening emotional connection, improving communication, and understanding the deeper attachment needs and emotions fueling recurring conflict. Rather than simply teaching communication skills, EFT helps couples recognize the patterns that keep them stuck and create new ways of relating to one another.

What is EMDR therapy?

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is an evidence-based therapy approach that helps people process traumatic or emotionally overwhelming experiences that continue to impact the present. EMDR can help reduce emotional reactivity, negative beliefs, anxiety, and the lingering effects of trauma or distressing life experiences.

How do you work with teens and families?

I approach teen and family therapy from a relational, strength-based and collaborative perspective. Rather than focusing on blame or “fixing” one person, I help families better understand the patterns, stressors, and emotional dynamics that may be contributing to conflict, disconnection, or overwhelm.

When working with teens, I aim to create a space where they feel respected, understood, and emotionally safe enough to be honest about what they are experiencing. Many adolescents struggle to communicate what they are feeling beneath anxiety, irritability, withdrawal, academic pressure, or emotional shutdown. Therapy can help teens build emotional awareness, coping skills, confidence, and healthier ways of expressing themselves.

I work closely with parents and caregivers to strengthen communication, reduce power struggles, and foster more secure and connected family relationships. My goal is to help families move away from cycles of conflict and toward greater understanding, trust, and emotional connection.
